Penélope Cruz attends the London premiere for the Italian film
DON’T MOVE (Non Ti Muovere) - March 17th 2005.
Penelope Cruz attended the UK premiere for DON’T MOVE (Non Ti Muovere)
at the UGC Haymarket, London in aid of the charity Medicinema. The film is based
on the novel by Margaret Mazzantini, and tells the story of Italia (Cruz), a
broken woman who becomes involved with an upper-crust physician (Castellitto).
It’s leading cast, Castellitto and Penélope Cruz both won the Donattello
for Best Actor/Actress, and Cruz’s performance is said to be the best of
her career by most critics.
She is absolutely thrilled about DON’T MOVE’s
UK release, and has said "I'm very happy that Don't Move is
getting a release in the UK because it has been one of the most
special films that I have made in my career.. Of all the characters
that I have played, this is the one I loved the most.. Ï think
Sergio Castellito has made a beautiful piece of art, and I feel
very proud to be part of it".
After the premiere Penelope Cruz and Margaret
Mazzantini were joined by Sting and Colin Firth among others at
the after show party, hosted by the Italian Cultural Institute.
